In front of the white building with its characteristic arched gates, the factory’s employees are gathered. Masters, journeymen, and apprentices – some just young boys, others with years of experience in their hands. The image radiates community, hard work, and professional pride, standing as a powerful testimony to the people who carried the company forward.
A glimpse into the machine hall, where belt drives from the ceiling power presses, lathes, and milling machines. The atmosphere is intense, and one senses the busy everyday life with young workers in overalls operating the machines. It was during this time that the factory truly found its industrial identity and laid the foundation for future growth.
In this picture, a major milestone is being celebrated: the production of press no. 1000. Workers, employees, and guests are gathered around the machine, and the atmosphere is solemn. For the factory, it was a symbol of growth, quality, and stable production – and a mark that they had created a machine which had truly made its mark on Danish industry.
Here we jump forward to the mid-1960s. The factory has become modern, with large, heavy machines standing in rows. The ceiling is high, the lighting bright, and the machines far more advanced than the early belt-driven systems. The image illustrates the transition from craft-based industry to a fully industrialized production, which made Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik competitive on the international market.
Although the eccentric press became our trademark, Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik also developed other solutions for the industry. Among the more spectacular were car lifts, which made it possible to raise entire cars – here a Ford from the 1930s – high into the air. A testament to the ingenuity and technical expertise that has always characterized PMB.
Once upon a time, there was a workshop where the sparks from steel set dreams in motion.
Dreams that grew into machines – and machines that grew into a factory.
Through the decades, the workshop became Povl Møllers Maskinfabrik – and today the name lives on as PMB.
The adventure is not over.
With every press, every solution, and every customer, new chapters are written – still guided by the same values: quality, reliability, and innovation.
And so the story continues. From then to now. From workshop to PMB.
